I'm just a girl who loves gardening, hiking, and the great outdoors! I don't have a degree in horticulture but I do have over a decade of growing experience in my own backyard. 

My style of gardening is intuitive, organic, and a little wild. A hands-in-the-dirt gardener, I learn best by trial and error.  And if that doesn't work, I usually consult a book or a fellow gardener.

As a central Texas native, my biggest backyard challenges are: 

• hot, dry summers 

• the squash vine borer

• convincing my husband to dig another garden bed.
